SimBuild™ Carpentry is the first interactive simulation that teaches fundamental skills used in residential construction. SimBuild Carpentry provides a hands-on training experience that allows users to interact in a dynamic learning environment.
Using a PC, keyboard, and mouse, the student navigates through SimBuild’s worksites to fill increasingly complex work orders such as reading a measuring tape, to laying out a gable roof, to proper calculation of rise and run on a staircase. Each activity is designed to educate the user in process, terminology, and skills needed to plan and complete tasks.
Performance assessment is based on several factors such as accuracy, time, materials usage, and safety. Scores are recorded and saved in a student report.
SimBuild™ Carpentry will be available to customers in 2013.
