VRSim & Lincoln Electric Partnership!
VRSim and welding giant Lincoln Electric Co. partner to create VRTEX 360, the new standard in virtual reality arc welding training.

Lincoln Electric
VRSim’s SimWelder™ technology caught the eye of The Lincoln Electric Company®, and in 2009 they partnered to create the new virtual reality arc welding training solution (VRAW), the VRTEX™ 360. With enhanced physics, sound and graphics, the system produces a realistic hands-on training experience. The technological capabilities in conjunction with Lincoln’s welding expertise allowed VRSim to develop the software around Lincoln’s existing products. VRSim added 3 new visual cues (weave, whip, and aim) to provide real time welding technique feedback. VRSim added new coupons to the VRTEX 360 for multiple arc welding processes and weld joint configurations in multiple welding positions. The VRTEX 360 also features multiple environments as well as an analysis package that shows discontinuities and defects and provides numerical scoring. - “Lincoln Electric, also known as The Welding Experts® have been a leader in the welding industry for over 100 years.”

Volvo Construction Equipment
Volvo construction equipment purchased SimWelder™ to compliment their existing training program. Volvo had the need to train students in a more cost effective manner and in a shorter period of time. SimWelder provides valuable feedback that helps trainees develop the necessary hand-eye coordination to complete a successful weld. The reduction of material waste produced savings for Volvo, confirmed the cost effectiveness of SimWelder and had a positive effect on the environment. - “Volvo Construction Equipment is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction machines.”

4Front Engineered Solutions
SimWelder™’s first client outside of the U.S., 4Front Engineered Solutions, decreased their training program costs and increased their trainee’s skill level with the use of the virtual reality welder trainer. The ability to train a student on the system while others learn from watching, coupled with a decrease in gas and steel consumption produced a positive return on investment for 4Front. - “4Front Engineered Solutions is a global leader in the design and manufacture of safety, productivity and environmental control products for warehousing, manufacturing, retail and distribution center customers.”
